Mark Gibbons, ex-pro tennis player, Sydney, Australia:
Mark Gibbons, from Sydney, Australia, was in London on a business trip and came to see me at my Harley Street office. Mark used to play professional tennis on the ATP Tour, and has has bad knees for many years. He’ll tell you about his experience in this quite obviously unedited video.
James came to me in Harley Street originally, and despite being located in California, comes to see me whenever he is in London. Here he talks about the results he gets from my treatment.
Julia Michael, from London, is a serious runner who impaled herself on a sewing needle. Her foot dysfunction seriously limited her running, so we had to re-educate the way her foot was working.
E Antoniades, Environmental Expert, Westminster, London:
“I would like to recommend Spencer McGawley for his services as a sports therapist. I have been a regular patient since February 2005.
Spencer has always been able to remedy various injuries effectively. He has also been able to provide rapid pain relief through the treatment provided. He is able to explain the physical cause of the injury thus preventing the injury from reoccurring, a quality that I have found other therapists often lack. My injuries have been mainly associated with the Capoeira Training ( a Brazilian Acrobatic Martial Arts form) as well as through incorrect posture in the workplace and a car accident. The injuries treated by Spencer include:
- Pain in knee; Muscle spasm in neck and shoulders, on two occasions;
- Pain in upper back and shoulder;
- Tendonitis in wrist;
- Sprained ankle.
I have recommended Spencer’s services to friends in the past and I would be happy to provide more information to anyone looking for effective therapy.”
A Marambos, Managing Director, ex-police, army, and former conditioning coach for the Greek National Rugby team:
“As a former South African soldier and policeman (SWAT team) I thought that I knew about fitness. Spencer showed me things that I had never thought of, and has helped me get rid of a lower back problem I have had since driving over a landmine 10 years ago. The guy is awesome”
A Critchley, Assistant Director Education, London Borough of Croydon:
“I injured my lower back playing squash and had been in considerable pain for several days.
My back felt as if it was going into spasm and I was unable to straighten it properly, making me look and feel like an old woman of 77 rather than 37! It was particularly uncomfortable after a period sitting or lying down, and on waking each morning I could hardly move.
When I went to visit Spencer he took his time asking about what I had done, where it hurt, and examining me before starting treatment. The treatment itself was in places uncomfortable but not agonising, and Spencer was solicitous about asking whether the discomfort was manageable for me. After half an hour of treatment I felt noticeable “looser” and was able to walk quite comfortably. The next day my lower back was tender but the original stiffness and spasms had gone.
On Spencer’s recommendation I returned that evening for a second round of treatment. The next day there was again a marked improvement, but the real change was 36 hours later, when I had got up and walked the half mile to the station before realising that I was supposed to be suffering with a bad back!”
Ken Cotton, retired businessman, Northampton (aged 78):
“I want to thank Spencer for the help he has given me. I was in so much pain I had been bedridden for days. I had been unable to sleep, and would wake up shouting with pain.
The treatment offered immediate relief, and my condition was much improved. As well as a reduction in pain I experienced an increase in mobility, which as a 78 year old living in my own home is extremely important.
I commend Spencer and his treatment system to everyone. He has helped me a great deal and will be able to help you.”
Max Rossi, Martial Artist, New York:
“I had shoulder pain for 17 years; as a hard training martial artist and strength trainer, this was a real problem for me.
Spencer’s treatment gave me reduced pain and mobility that I had long since given up for lost. I wish that I had met him a lot sooner”
E Wilborne, Estate Agent, London:
“Dear Spencer, I met you when I came into The Runners Shop a few months ago and at that time I was having problems with shin splints. After buying a new pair of trainers and you massaging the knots out I haven’t had any problems and have continued to run 3-5 miles, 5 days a week”
