Made Up Injury Alert!

TomDeLayNo sooner than I launch a new site when the first Made Up Injury of the season hits us square between the eyes!

For those of you not overly familiar the cut and thrust of American domestic politics (which pretty much rules out 80% of the inhabitants of the contintental US), the gentleman on the left is Tom DeLay.

Mr DeLay is currently “cutting a rug” on the US version of Strictly Come Dancing (which my 4 yr old daughter has decreed to be compulsory viewing – lots of pretty dresses…) “Dancing with The Stars”.

Last week Tom reported to training with a foot injury, and was promptly taken to a doctors clinic for a check up.  OK so far.  If hurt go to doctor.  But it was the next bit that had be howling – the diagnoses (a professional medical one, at that) was a “pre stress fracture“!

Sounds good doesn’t it?  But it isn’t.  Because there is no such thing.  “Pre stress fracture?”.  You mean there is no fracture at all?  You either have one or you don’t.  And he doesn’t.  So what was the doctor playing at?
