Why does it work?

I got fed up having treatment from (albeit well meaning) therapists who never really seemed to get to the bottom of the problem.  Some people seemed to have some of the answers, but no-one had all of the pieces.

So I set out to fix that. And myself

Here are the principles that I follow to ensure that my methods are the best and most effective way to treat pain and injury:

  • One: Understand how the human body moves.  The body is designed to move, and that movement should be pain free.  Any effective treatment needs to have this at it’s base.
  • Two: Know and be forensically acquainted with the role and function of soft tissue in the body.  Soft tissue creates all movement and supports all of the skeleton, yet it is consistently and systematically ignored.
  • Three: The body acts as a system, and as such is only as strong as it’s weakest element.  Dysfunction can be transferred around the system, and thus must be eliminated from all parts it has effected.
  • Four: The treatment must use hands-on methods to fully understand the detail of the problem, and not hide behind seemingly technically advanced equipment.
  • Five: There must be a scientific basis for what changes are occurring as a result of the treatment.
